Another strong month of growth

Kollect, the company that makes it easy to book any waste service online, are continuing to go from strength to strength, increasing their total revenue by 60% year-on-year. According to the latest trading update, released on October 13, there is a lot to be positive about as we progress into Q4 2021.

Revenues from Domestic and Commercial Bins are up on last year’s figures and the Commercial Skip business continues to perform well with revenues up 102% compared to Sep 2020. Commercial Junk too - bolstered by the new Kollect Commercial App - was up compared to Sep 2020 by 191% and also up 74% compared to Aug 2020 as a result of the holiday period and continued business development efforts. This vertical is a smaller contributor to overall revenues than Commercial Skips but is a line of business that is very much at the beginning of its growth curve.

BIGbin revenues in Sep 2021 were up 82% from Sep 2020 and were down 25% compared to Aug 2021 as the holiday season came to an end and holiday homes vacated. An order has been placed for 10 additional bins with the most up to date technology and a significant marketing push has commenced on this vertical for Q4 2021 and Q1 2022. Most recently, BIGbin has launched a new site in Newcastle, Galway, which brings the number of operational sites to 34 and extends its waste drop-off operations into another Irish city.

Kollect’s Chief Financial Officer Jamie Walsh is delighted with the latest update.

“It’s great to put out another strong month of results and the rate of growth, 60%, really shows the trajectory of the company. I’m excited to continue this growth, and for the company to deliver excellent results."
