In Ireland thousands of miles of wrapping paper is thrown away over the Christmas season and some of this paper cannot be recycled such as the foil or metallic paper. Bear in mind to look out for recyclable papers to avoid this issue. Another option is to create you own retro parcels out of newspaper or brown paper.

Where possible why not give someone a gift that doesn't produce waste, such as an experience. This could be gift vouchers to a SPA or shopping vouchers etc. Other options would be to purchase a yearly membership for a persons favourite museum or a yearly subscription for a magazine.
