At Kollect, we believe that it's easier for customers to feel connected, safe and secure, if they know more about the people behind the wheel. The faces behind the squirrel if you will. In recent weeks, and over the course of the next few weeks and months we will be introducing you to various members of the team and the important roles that they play. For example, here's some information about our three founders that you never knew you wanted to know.John O'Connor our CEO loves running, listening to hip-hop, reading biographies and hanging out with his family and friends. A big fan of food and nice casual restaurants John is somewhat addicted to his phone. When he was with Bigbin (a company that Kollect recently purchased) he answered the phone seven days a week at all hours of the day. “I brought the customer service phone on my honeymoon because at the time there was nobody who could have taken it over and I couldn't afford to miss a customer query, John said. “A friend who was minding my phone on my wedding day couldn't handle a customer query so handed it to me as I prepared to enter the wedding room. I answered the call and then went into the room for our first dance. Robbie Skuse is car-mad. He has an Audi A5, which he loves as much as most people love a family pet. He's also a neat freak. We're talking toothbrush to clean the tyres type of neat freak. However, he once emptied a customer's bin into his pristine Audi when we missed their bin collection. That's a fact! He's the child of the company but don't let that fool you, he's packed more into his short life than most people have into their Green bin. John Hegarty enjoys golf but doesn't get to play as much as he'd like due to work and family commitments. As a consolation - of sorts - he goes playing Pitch & Putt with Robbie once a week. He also enjoys walking and jogging while his kids cycle. John delivered bins to customers on the day that his son Sean was born because they were expecting them, and Kollect had made a promise to deliver them. Obsessed!Madness, but that's Kollect.
