Developing Our Business
Kollect have made their 2020 intentions known by expanding an ever-growing workforce with two new Business Development Managers – Wayne Hutchinson and Morgan Lalor. Both are highly motivated, innovative and share the same obsession for passion and customer service that Kollect is built on.
Wayne is from the beautiful seaside village of Dunmore East and has a background Pharmaceutical Business Development. He’s a well-known GAA personality in Waterford, which will go some way to explaining where that passion and determination comes from. He was only in the door a week and he was preaching about Kollect’s Commercial Junk Service as if it was his first born child.
“The key to Business Development is having a strong foundation to build on, and Kollect has one of the strongest I’ve seen,” Wayne said. “The starting point for just about everything Kollect does is ‘how can we make this as simple as possible for the customer’ and I think that’s seen to great effect with the Commercial Junk and Skips offering.”
Wayne calls Kollect’s online booking platform its “secret ingredient”.
“You simply log on, select your location, a description of what you’d like removed, and the collection is organised immediately,” he said. “There’s no big long forms to fill in and a team of uniformed, licensed professionals arrive that very day (or the next day if you’ve ordered the collection that bit later), and your rubbish/waste/junk is removed and legally dispatched. For commercial operators with other things to be worrying about besides waste, it’s so important that this service is as convenient and efficient as possible.”
Our other new Sales Development Manager, Morgan Lalor grew up on the family beef farm in South Kilkenny so is no stranger to early mornings, hard work and getting your hands dirty. He did his Business Studies undergrad in CIT before moving on to UCC for a Masters in Food Business. Before moving to Kollect, Morgan was a Business Development Manager for a Pork and Bacon company in Tipperary, where he was tasked with growing their brand nationwide.
Speaking about Kollect’s Commercial Junk and Skip Hire, his first project for the company, Morgan says that the key to its success is its “simplicity”.
“Companies out there are wasting so much time and effort filling skips themselves,” he said. “If they use Kollect’s junk removal service, we do all the hard work for them. All they have to do is point and the junk disappears – it really is that simple. For me, it’s that effortless service, which is reliable, and environmentally friendly, that will make the job of developing that side of the business, that much easier.”
