Have Bins, will travel

The  Kollect platform is so unique and so flexible that it could work anywhere in the world. We're just getting going though so our plan for world domination is still very much in its infant years. AS we have explained in other blogs, Kollect's online platform allows customers to easily book and arrange a bin, skip or junk collection online. We then use our own, or third-party providers to make sure your needs are met as quickly and efficiently as possible. Just about every blog you read from us will contain the word customer because we start with “how do we satisfy every customer' and go from there. This week we talk to our Operations Manager, Darren O'Connor to get an insight into where Kollect has been, and more importantly, where it's going.“When I joined the company, Kollect had a van in Waterford and a van in Cork, he said. “Today we have vans in Dublin and a huge amount of trusted third parties all over the country that we work with on a daily basis.Part of Darren's job is scouting the country for new areas where Kollect can bring its service.“The easiest way of identifying our next location is looking at populations and head-counts, Darren said. “We take a lot into consideration, including existing services before we move into a new location. We then have to go about meeting new partners that we can work with to deliver a top class service. The next stage of Darren's job is vetting third parties to ensure that they meet Kollect's high expectations.“Before we sign up a new partner, who we will trust to deliver on the promises we make to our customers, we will vet them thoroughly, he explained. “There's a comprehensive process that goes hand-in-hand with working with new third parties and that includes making sure all of their vehicles are in perfect order, making sure they have all of their necessary permits and also making sure that everyone involved is Garda-vetted.Right now, Kollect is available throughout the South East, Limerick, Galway, Dublin, Kells, Navan, Dundalk, Drogehda and that list is growing each week. We've also taken our first step into the UK market by launching in Manchester and that has been going amazingly well.Stay tuned to find out where the Squirrel goes next!
