We have to admit, at one stage it was a bit daunting to know whether we could actually compete with the big dogs of the waste industry, but as time unfolded we realised customers were more than happy to switch to Kollect. You see, we could offer them something our competitors couldn't; a personal connection. Our customer service team doesn't use a script, our aim is to have a natural conversation which often leads to having a nice chat about anything from the weather (we wouldn't be typically Irish otherwise), last nights match to our pets eating habits, anything goes, customers can connect with us and they love it. We are convinced some customers just ring for a chat. We have the same interaction on Facebook, we like to engage and have a little fun. And it doesn't just stop at the customer service team, our drivers have gotten a reputation for going above and beyond, even knocking on doors if a bin was forgotten to be put out.
