Do you clear properties in Connemara?
Yes, on scheduled route days reaching Clifden and the coast. Western jobs are grouped so the travel happens once; you get a firm date and the crew phones an hour before arrival.
Can the crew handle heavy or awkward items?
That is their job: pianos excepted, two people move wardrobes, appliances, garden machinery and dismantle simple furniture where needed. You point, they carry.
What items can the junk crew take?
Pretty much everything in or around the house: furniture, appliances (including fridges and flat screens), general household junk, wood, metal, paper, garden waste and black refuse bags. If it is not on the prohibited list, it goes in the van.
Are there items the junk van must refuse?
A short list, all safety-driven: hazardous waste such as asbestos, chemicals, solvents, full paint tins, fuel, vehicle batteries, tyres and clinical waste. Commercial fridges and chiller cabinets are also excluded; domestic fridges are fine.
Do you do collections while I am at work?
Routinely. Leave access sorted and the item list agreed, and the crew handles the rest, confirming by phone an hour out and photographing the finished job so you can check it from your desk.
What happens to the junk after collection?
It goes to a licensed facility where loads are sorted; over 90% is diverted from landfill. Reusable furniture and working appliances are pulled out for reuse and recycling streams rather than dumped.
I can only be there on a Saturday. Is that workable?
Completely. Saturday is a normal working day for the crews, and for occupied houses it is often the best day: you walk the rooms once with the team and they handle the rest.
