Skip Hire Across Offaly
Skip hire in Offaly starts from €343 with VAT, delivery, collection and disposal included. Offaly likes the small skip: half of county orders take the compact size, the highest share in the midlands, suiting town-centre houses in Tullamore and Birr and quick garden jobs in between. With towns, villages and a lot of open country, a skip is often the tidiest way to deal with a job's waste in Offaly, and we hire skips countywide to households, businesses and trades.
Three permitted suppliers cover the county, with priced towns including Tullamore, Edenderry, Clonbulloge, Shannonbridge and Walsh Island, and Birr and Moneygall covered on the southern route.

Quick Answers For Offaly.
Is a permit required for a skip in Offaly?
Only on public roads, through Offaly County Council. Driveways and private sites, where most Offaly skips go, need no permit.
What does a skip cost in Offaly?
From €343 all-in, covering VAT, delivery, collection and disposal. Offaly's preference for small skips keeps typical spend near that entry figure.
Why are small skips Offaly's favourite?
Half of Offaly orders are small, town-centre access in Tullamore and Birr, plus a steady run of single-room and garden jobs, make compact the practical pick. Midi and builder sizes are always available.
Which towns are on your Offaly routes?
Tullamore, Edenderry, Birr and Clara anchor the routes, with priced coverage through Clonbulloge, Shannonbridge, Walsh Island, Banagher and Moneygall. Next-day slots run on most bookings.
How long can I keep a skip in Offaly?
The standard hire runs five days, which covers most jobs comfortably. Need longer? Call us and we will extend the hire; flexible hire is part of the service, and collection is only booked when you tell us the skip is ready.
Which sizes are available for Offaly skip hire?
Everything from a 2.5 yard mini (25 to 30 bin bags) to a 14 yard XL (up to 140 bin bags). Availability per size depends on the local supplier, and the checkout only shows sizes genuinely bookable in Offaly. Larger builder sizes (10 to 35 yards) can be arranged where the local supplier carries them; ask when booking.
What happens to the waste collected in Offaly?
Every skip goes to a licensed facility where the load is sorted, and over 90% of material is diverted from landfill. Metal, timber, cardboard and inert material are separated into recycling streams as standard.
Is a skip the right choice for my Offaly job?
If the waste arrives over days or weeks, yes. For context, in Offaly skips start at €343, junk crew clearances run half-van loads and up from €950, and skip bags from €109. If everything is already in a pile and you would rather not load it, price the crew option before you decide.
Can I get a skip tomorrow in Offaly?
Usually. Since 3 suppliers cover the county, next-day slots are standard on the main routes through Tullamore and Birr; more rural addresses can take an extra day. You see and confirm the real date before paying.
Why do skip prices differ between towns in Offaly?
Each town is served by whichever suppliers genuinely cover it, so the floor price moves with the local haulage: Edenderry from €343. The checkout always shows the figure for your own address, and the county from-price is simply the cheapest anywhere in Offaly.
What is included in Kollect's skip hire price?
Delivery, collection, disposal and VAT. No hidden
extras. If you need an extra day, just call, we'll sort
it.
How long can I keep a hired skip in Ireland?
Standard hire is 5 days. Need more time? Call us before
collection and we'll extend it.
Do I need to be home when my skip is delivered?
No. Just tell us where to place it. Most of our
customers aren't home when the skip arrives.
Do I need a permit to hire a skip in Ireland?
Only if the skip is going on a public road. If it's on
your driveway or property, no permit needed. Call us if
you're not sure, we'll check.
What items are not allowed in a skip in Ireland?
No fridges, freezers, TVs & electricals, mattresses,
paint, tyres, asbestos, batteries, plasterboard, or
liquids. Got one of these? Our
junk removal service takes all of
them.
What happens if I overfill a hired skip?
The skip must be level-loaded, no higher than the rim.
Overfilled skips are unsafe to transport and can't be
collected. If you've got more than you thought, call us
and we'll upsize or add a second skip.
Can I share a skip hire with my neighbour in Ireland?
Absolutely. You just split the cost between you. One
address for delivery is all we need.
