We understand that trying to estimate which size skip you’ll need is one of the trickiest parts of hiring a skip. The risk of ordering a skip too small is that you’ll need to hire a second skip. If you order one too large then you’ve spent more than you needed to on rubbish removal in the first place.

For very small jobs we have the smallest skip in our range, the 2.5 yard skip, also known as the Mini Skip. This skip is suitable for very small garden or household clearances and D.I.Y projects. We estimate it holds the equivalent of up to 25 bin bags or 8 wheelie bins.
This skip size is most useful for kitchen and bathroom refits as well as being convenient for garden cleanups. We recommend the 4 yard skip, aka the Midi Skip for all those in between jobs because it’s small, compact and holds the equivalent of up to 40 bin bags or 10 wheelie bins.
This is our most popular skip and it’s the one you see in most driveways. They are small enough that they can be placed in most locations, but large enough to handle a sizable amount of waste. It holds the equivalent of up to 60 bin bags or 12 wheelie bins.
Our 8 yard skip is a popular skip for building projects. It is ideal for very large garden landscaping projects as well as full property clearance projects for houses. It holds the equivalent of up to 80 bin bags or 16 wheelie bins.
For larger jobs that will produce a considerable amount of waste we have the 12 yard, or “Big Daddy” of the skip family. These skips provide ample space for many different jobs, from commercial rubbish to industrial waste. It holds the equivalent of up to 120 bin bags or 24 wheelie bins.
These extra large skips provide ample space for many different jobs, from commercial rubbish to industrial waste. It holds the equivalent of up to 150 bin bags.
You can keep the skip for 3 to 5 days. Any longer than this additional charges will apply. If you decide later that you need the skip for longer please call the office and we can make an amendment for you on your collection date.
We provide skips, however the labour to load them is not included in the initial price. If you need help loading your skip, no problem, Call us on 01-685-9092 Or Book a Call and we can arrange to have someone out to fill the skip for you. Alternatively, you might prefer to use our man with a van junk removal service instead of skip hire. We do all the loading for you and it’s cheaper than skip hire. For more information, click here.
Your skip is collected when you tell us to collect it. You can either specify a collection date at the time of booking, or tell us later once the skip is full. Typical collections are within 3 to 5 days of drop off.
No you do not need to be there when the skip arrives. If there is any information regarding the delivery and location that the driver should be aware of you can call us in the office prior to the skip being delivered.
