Skip Hire Across Waterford
Skip hire in Waterford starts from €488 with VAT, delivery, collection and disposal included. Waterford works a size up: the 6-yard midi leads bookings, but large skips run at one and a half times the national rate, as city renovations and coastal builds keep the bigger boxes moving. Renovations, new builds and big clear-outs keep Waterford households, trades and businesses reaching for a skip; we deliver across the county, in the city and well beyond it. A terraced house in the city and a farmhouse out the country need very different handling, and the service is set up for both.
Our two Waterford suppliers price the county town-by-town, from the city and Tramore along the Copper Coast (Annestown, Bunmahon, Kilmacthomas) to Dungarvan and Dunmore East, so the whole coastline sees its real local rate.
Waterford Areas We Serve

Quick Answers For Waterford.
Do I need a permit for a skip in Waterford?
Only on public roads; Waterford City and County Council issues the permit for both the city and county. Driveways and private sites need none.
How much is skip hire in Waterford?
From €488 all-in, including VAT, delivery, collection and disposal. Waterford's lean towards larger sizes means many customers find the best value one size up from their first guess.
What size do Waterford customers actually book?
The 6-yard midi tops the list at around 62%, but large skips over-index at 1.5 times the national rate, renovations in the city and builds along the coast drive it. Gutting a house? Price the large.
What is the hire period for a Waterford skip?
Five days as standard. Most customers around Waterford City and Tramore find that plenty, and if the project runs over, one call extends the hire and moves the collection date.
Do you have small and large skips in Waterford?
Both. Waterford suppliers currently run the 6 yard midi, the 8 yard large and the 14 yard XL, and the booking form filters to what they actually run, so you will not be offered a size that cannot be delivered. Larger builder sizes (10 to 35 yards) can be arranged where the local supplier carries them; ask when booking.
Skip, junk crew or skip bag: which is cheapest in Waterford?
It depends on the job. In Waterford, skips start at €488, junk crew collections start at €86, and skip bags from €109. Rough rule: bags for small, slow clear-outs; skips when you want days to fill at your own pace; the crew when you would rather not lift anything at all.
What is the lead time for skip delivery around Waterford City?
Typically next working day, sometimes two for outlying townlands. Because 2 suppliers cover the county, availability holds up even in busy spring weeks, and your date is fixed at booking.
Is skip hire the same price everywhere in Waterford?
No, and we publish the differences rather than hide them: Tramore from €488, Dungarvan from €488. Town pricing reflects which supplier actually runs that route, so the number you see at checkout is the real one for your Eircode.
What is included in Kollect's skip hire price?
Delivery, collection, disposal and VAT. No hidden
extras. If you need an extra day, just call, we'll sort
it.
How long can I keep a hired skip in Ireland?
Standard hire is 5 days. Need more time? Call us before
collection and we'll extend it.
Do I need to be home when my skip is delivered?
No. Just tell us where to place it. Most of our
customers aren't home when the skip arrives.
Do I need a permit to hire a skip in Ireland?
Only if the skip is going on a public road. If it's on
your driveway or property, no permit needed. Call us if
you're not sure, we'll check.
What items are not allowed in a skip in Ireland?
No fridges, freezers, TVs & electricals, mattresses,
paint, tyres, asbestos, batteries, plasterboard, or
liquids. Got one of these? Our
junk removal service takes all of
them.
What happens if I overfill a hired skip?
The skip must be level-loaded, no higher than the rim.
Overfilled skips are unsafe to transport and can't be
collected. If you've got more than you thought, call us
and we'll upsize or add a second skip.
Can I share a skip hire with my neighbour in Ireland?
Absolutely. You just split the cost between you. One
address for delivery is all we need.

Prefer To Just Talk To Someone?
You're not the only one. Most of our customers call. It's often faster than booking online, especially if you're not sure what size, or if junk removal might suit you better. €15 off when you book by phone.
